ShotWorkShotWork

ShotWork is a desktop app that turns long footage into a library of tagged shots and finished reels. Mark every moment worth keeping in one pass, tag it with fields that fit your work, then batch-export the shots as clips or build your reel right in the app.

This is the guide to using it. To download ShotWork, or to see what it costs, go to shotwork.tools.

  • Getting started

A first session in five steps: install, mark three shots in any video, save them, cut a reel and export, with a link to each full page.

  • Marking shots

In and out points, moving around a source, automatic shot detection, interest points, and the metadata the reel editor runs on.

  • Library

Every shot selects file, reel, value, logo and song ShotWork knows about, and the tools that change a value everywhere at once.

  • Building a reel

Order, trim and roll clips; music with a beat grid; fades, overlay templates, cards, and a length budget you can see while you edit.

  • Exporting

Batch-export marked shots as clips, render a reel to one video, or hand a reel to Resolve, Premiere or Final Cut as a timeline.
