Downbeats are unavailableΒΆ
You see: "Downbeats unavailable for this track. Showing beats only." under a song's Downbeats switch. Or the Downbeats switch turning itself off. Or, in Components, "Failed. See the details below." or "Verify failed. See the details below.", with an error in a box.
Why: Downbeats come from an optional engine. Turning on Downbeats without it opens Components on Downbeat detection, and the box turns itself off if you close that without installing. With the engine installed, some songs still defeat it; ShotWork then shows beats only, and remembers that for the file so it does not keep retrying. An install or verification can fail on a network problem, too little disk space, or a part that did not download.
Fix:
- For a box that turns itself off, choose Download in Components, and wait for "Installed and verified."
- For one song that shows beats only, turn on Manual downbeats: every and set how many beats make a bar.
- For a failed install, check your internet connection and that 325 to 425 MB of disk space is free, then choose Download again.
- For a failed verification, choose Remove, then Download again.
If that didn't work: The text in the error box is the exact failure; copy it into a problem report. See Downbeat engine and Beats and downbeats.
